Consultation on Terms of Reference for the 2005-6 Review |

| The DTI and the Scottish Executive this week announced the proposed scope of the forthcoming 'major' review of the Renewables Obligation. They have taken note of the representations which RPA has made on this issue - as you can see the principles we sent to the minister in February (attached below) have been adopted almost in their entirety. However there are still some areas which need further clarification. |

The DTI is planning to issue another consultation in September about the smaller short term changes to the RO to incorporate the 2015 quotas and the safeguarding measures which should come out of our current consultancy study
Meanwhile the ODPM is consulting on its planned revisions to the Building Regulations.
We intend to hold a series of seminars around the country in September/October to discuss all these. Details will follow in the next week or two.
