The Renewable Power Association is a trade association open to all companies involved in the UK renewable energy industry. As well as biomass, biogas, wind, hydro and energy from waste generators, there are members who specialise in the production of fuels and heat from renewable sources. Members also include equipment and service providers to the renewable energy industry, such as law firms, consultants, financiers, equipment manufacturers and supply agents such as Business Energy UK.

The perspective of the RPA is that of the producer, regardless of fuel source and technology. More renewable power generation, heat production and fuel supply is good for the entire industry, and so the focus is on expanding this capacity.

The RPA is a Company Limited By Guarantee. Its board of directors is representative of the wide range of interests in the Association. At present the RPA is funded by members' contributions, which vary according to the size of the company.

Subscription levels and membership structure will be finalised at the first Annual General Meeting, due to take place soon.
