The launch comes the same day that Trade and Industry Secretary, Patricia Hewitt, gives her keynote speech on sustainable energy.

• A new target for renewable sources to supply 30% of the UK’s electricity within 25 years.
• “Mending not ending” the Renewables Obligation to maintain investor confidence and ensure the Government’s targets can be delivered.
• New measures to support well-developed technologies that are close to commercial viability;

“The Routemap sets out practical measures to back up the vision in the Energy White Paper. We will work with the Government to achieve the sustainable energy future that we all want.”
