RPA makes final submission to LCBP and Microgeneration consultations |
Submitted: 23 September 2005 |
The RPA has been actively engaged with the DTI and other departments throughout the summer. We have argued the case that the LCBP should be a market-building rather than demonstration measure, including variable grant rates for different technologies and a viable stream 1 on a non-competitive bid basis. We have also taken the lead in urging Government to extend the current grant programmes should their April 2006 launch date for the LCBP prove impossible to deliver. We have also been developing proposals for a single self-regulatory product certification and accreditation scheme to accompany the new programme.
The DTIs final recommendations for the LCBP are likely to emerge at the beginning of November, to be followed by a final month of informal consultation. If you would like to discuss the RPAs ongoing lobbying work in this area, please contact Seb Berry on [email protected]
