Training in development for small scale biomass heating
Submitted:5April2006
IT Power is currently working on a European project on installer training for Renewable Energy technologies (see link to the EARTH project below), in conjunction with 11 other European partners. The project will develop Europe wide accredited training courses for three renewable energy technologies including small scale biomass systems (<60kW).
The biomass installers' course will help to create a competent, qualified workforce of installers and in turn, promote the wider implementation of high quality biomass heating systems. Consumer and investor confidence in both biomass heating and the abilities of the installers will justifiably increase as a result.
All stakeholders (e.g. training providers/colleges, awarding bodies, technology manufacturers/suppliers/ installers, funding bodies, etc) are invited to contribute to the project by providing their feedback, comments and suggestions at each stage of the project (e.g. task analysis, syllabus, training material).
Please download the draft syllabus below, and return your comments by 21st April to the address detailed in the document.
