Climate Change Bill |

| The Climate Change Bill is a legal accountability framework to help reduce our carbon emissions and meet carbon reduction targets. |
Its main elements are:
- to make carbon reduction targets, to reduce CO2 emissions by 60% by 2050 and 26% to 32% by 2020 against 1990 levels, legally binding.
- the introduction of 5 year carbon budgets and reports
- the creation of a Committee on Climate Change to investigate if the 2050 target should be strengthened and report on including aviation or shipping

| The Bill is scheduled to have its second reading on the 27 November 2007 in the House of Lords. |
