Renewable Energy is now a reality in Britain. Renewables account for 3.8 % of total energy production and this is increasing, significantly. The Government is committed to a target of 10% renewable energy by 2010 and 15% by 2015, to ensure that we move to new sustainable energy sources that safeguard both our energy supplies and the environment.
But is the Government’s commitment to renewable energy shared by the investment community, is there a viable business case for investing and is the investment community informed enough to make these decisions?
‘Investing in Renewable Energy’ is the first piece of research to focus solely on the attitudes of the UK investment community to renewables. The qualitative survey conducted by Gavin Anderson & Company amongst 60 Investors and Advisers is also the first comprehensive survey published since the Government announced its 2015 renewable target in December 2003
