Solar Power Pioneer in Mile End

In an exciting development for Londonís East End, Tower Hamlets Council has given The Environment Trust and its partners planning permission to construct the UKís first solar power station.
This will take the form of a canopy constructed with solar photovoltaic panels, covering a go-kart track in Mile End Park, the innovative urban regeneration project near Canary Wharf.
The Trust has just issued a press release announcing this development and it is attached below, for your information, together with a drawing that illustrates the project.
