REA Events Co-ordinator

The Renewable Energy Association are looking for an events co-ordinator to join our busy and expanding team.
The position will be full-time and based in our London office.

Key accountabilities include:
- Planning and administration of events to meet the aspirations of attendees and participants and enhance the reputation of the Association.
- Coordination of literature about events and other tangible services to members and the renewable energy sector

Primary job functions are:
- To source and liaise with venues, caterers, AV companies and others
- To liaise with REA sector specialists to identify speakers and programme content
- To coordinate the content of seminars and conferences, including: briefing and thanking speakers, collating presentations and biographies, preparing and publicising programmes, analysing and responding to feedback
- To coordinate exhibitions & exhibitors at events
- Locate accommodation, transport details etc.
- To maintain the Association�s business information systems
- To send out targeted mail shots, create mailing lists from database, write copy and send.
- Liaise with like-minded organisations for cross-marketing purposes
- Maintain trade press lists and ensure events are in trade press
- To respond to queries about external events, clarify REA involvement with external events, identify potential staff and member involvement
- To liaise with sponsors, set out sponsorship packages, locate sponsors
- To participate in recruitment of new members
- To prepare budgets for events and monitor performance against them
- To undertake such other functions as may be required to ensure the effective operation of the Association
