Our client is the UK's leading centre for research on buildings, construction and environments. They are now seeking a director for their branch in Scotland to advice and support in the following areas:
�Advice on sustainable design and energy efficiency for buildings
�Assistance to businesses to improve their processes and reduce waste
�Support for innovation and commercialisation of ideas
�Assistance with the infrastructure improvements for land and property projects
�Introduction of new skills development programmes
�To lead this important business growth opportunity, we are now looking for a Director to take responsibility for the continued growth and development of our team based out of East Kilbride and Inverness. This is a senior appointment that will suit an individual with significant skills and experience in business development and management.

It is essential for you to have experience of most of the following activities:
�Developing and delivering research & consultancy business on behalf of commercial organisations, trade associations, government agencies and similar bodies
�Competitive tendering and bidding processes
�An interest in innovation for the built environment
�Leading and managing a team of industry experts
�Strong commercial awareness
�Appreciation of the current political and economic business drivers for the area
�Personal attributes
You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be highly motivated, have a proven track record of leadership and delivery of projects. Ideally you will be recognised for your networks and business development skills at senior levels within industry, government and government agencies.
