	Overview	Operator of the largest sawmill in Ireland, Balcas has installed a wood fuelled 2.7MWe (10MWth) CHP plant to offset purchase requirement of electricity and oil for wood kilns; and a high density wood pellet production facility with a capacity of 50,000t for sale to the energy market.
