are pleased to host the British Renewable Energy Awards to honour achievements in the British renewable energy sector, in partnership with those already established in various regions and in the financial sector.
Nominations for 2008 are now closed.
The award categories are as follows:
Advocate - for a campaign, publication or organisation that has enhanced the awareness of renewable energy.
Champion - An individual who deserves recognition for their significant contribution to renewables.
Developer - innovative development plans for a new renewable energy project, process or plant which is well advanced through the design and consenting process, but not yet in operation (completed projects are eligible for the installation award).
Installation - an outstanding, recently completed renewable energy project or development.
Innovation - a renewable energy device, process or application
Pioneer - an organisation outside the renewables industry that has embraced the use of renewable power, heat or fuel.
Region - the local or regional authority or agency deemed to be most active in encouraging or supporting the take up of renewables.
Judging Process
The awards are judged by a panel of leading experts in energy and renewables. After the pre-nomination stage, on 14th March, the judging panel will select about 5 to 9 pre-nominations and invite fuller submissions by May. Based on these entries, the judges will then select up to one winner and two �runners up� in each category.
Awards will be presented at the Awards Gala Dinner at the Caf� Royal on 19th June 2008.

Last year's dinner for 400 guests, compered by Rory Bremner, sold out early. Take your customers or the whole department/company - there are special members' rates for tables of ten.
